Driver hospitalized after motorhome crash in NW Kansas

GOVE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9p.m. Thursday in Gove County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 motorhome driven by Melvin Harlan Boll, 83, Littleton, Colorado, was eastbound on Interstate 70 at Quinter.

The motorhome lost brakes and power steering. The driver took the Quinter exit crossed Kansas 212 Highway and struck a tree.

EMS transported Boll to Gove County Medical Center.  An 81-year-old passenger was not injured. Boll and the passenger were not wearing  seat belts, according to the KHP.
